The Madagascar films have never done it for me. I find them lazy and complete hack jobs. DreamWorks started with some potential into CG with Shrek. Shrek was good in that it skewed pop culture by doing it in mainstream animation. And then...DW lost the plot and point and their credibility with things like the aforementioned Madagascar and Shark Tale and even when they do something relatively good like Kung-Fu Panda they immediately announce a sequel. <br /><br />I don't know how much of the garbage they produced was dictated by Jeffery Katzenberg and how much was just accidental but since they keep making muck and keep recording profits we can look forward to more of their "creative talent" for years to come.<br /><br />I like it when a side project for something awful is actually good.
